THANKSGIVING ✦ BIG BEND ✦ SPACE COWBOYS
WE ARE THE LIVING ADVENTURE
Rebel Against the Routine
Return to Gratitude
A cosmic Thanksgiving adventure in Big Bend where GRATITUDE becomes action and the darkest skies awaken something inside you. An all-inclusive four-day retreat for adults, couples, kids, friends, and families.
You don't need a bigger table. You need a wider sky.
NOVEMBER 24–27, 2026 • Terlingua, Texas • 4 Days / 3 Nights • ALL-INCLUSIVE
✦ The desert doesn't perform for you. It's vast, raw, and honest. It's the kind of quiet that resets something in you.
Maybe you are always the one who makes Thanksgiving happen.
Maybe you're always the one hosting, cooking, coordinating, cleaning, carrying the whole holiday. This year give before you feast, adventure before you rest, and let Thanksgiving become something you experience.
A glass done under the stars. A three-course feast you didn't cook. This isn't roughing it, it's softness in the middle of the wild.
Maybe you don't have anywhere you want to go. Maybe the old traditions no longer fit. Maybe being around family feels complicated. Maybe you simply want the holiday to mean something different this year.
✦ Nothing here is left to chance. Every moment of the week= has already been thought through, so you don't have to think of anything.
✦ Strangers on Wednesday night. People who actually see you by Friday morning.
"Your life may be full. But full is not always the same as being fully alive."
Wild. Held. Comfortable. Real. That's the whole weekend.
Family Friendly. Adults-welcome. Kids-encouraged.
It's an adventure retreat for all ages where children are genuinely welcome, where solo travelers belong and where Friends and Family feel at home. We'll meet in the West Texas desert, step outside the roles that organize ordinary life, and remember how to be brave, curious, connected, and fully alive we are, together.
✦ Why West Texas In The Fall
This is the season when the desert opens.
Late November brings softer days for canyon adventure and cool nights made for firelight, layers, and stargazing. The intensity of summer has softened, the air feels clearer, and the land feels wider. It's the meeting place between movement and rest.
We follow the actual weather and conditions of the weekend, because the living adventure isn't about controlling nature. It's about learning how to meet what's here.
Ways You'll Experience It
✦ GRATITUDE ✦
Something you Feel and soemthign you Give
Thanksgiving begins with more than naming what we appreciate. Adults and children will reconnect with gratitude through reflection, shared intention, and a meaningful give-back experience supporting the Big Bend community. We give before we receive, allowing gratitude to move from our hearts into our hands.
✦ COSMOS ✦
Expand beneath some of the darkest skies in the country.
When the city lights disappear, the cosmos comes alive. We will gather beneath the Milky Way for stargazing, reflection, imagination, and perspective. Adults are invited to dream beyond the limits of ordinary life, while children experience the wonder of a universe that feels close enough to touch.
✦ ADVENTURE ✦
Explore the wild beauty of the Big Bend area.
Journey through desert canyons, ancient landscapes, and wide-open horizons that invite wonder at every age. Our guided adventure is designed around exploration, connection, and awe, not performance. Move at the pace of presence, discover the land together, and remember how alive you feel when life becomes bigger than your routine.
✦ REST ✦
Reset like a star & Let yourself be held for once.
Between adventures, there will be real space to pause. Wake slowly inside your cozy Space Cowboys pod, enjoy quiet desert mornings, sit beside the fire, or simply do nothing at all. You do not have to fill every moment. Rest is part of the experience—not something you have to earn after it.
✦ SOUND ✦
Relax into a symphony of Surround Sound
Lie back, close your eyes, and allow waves of sound to move around and through you. This immersive experience invites adults to release what they have been carrying while giving children an accessible introduction to sound, stillness, and imagination. Nothing to solve. Nothing to accomplish. Simply receive.
✦ DANCE ✦
Move like no one needs anything from you.
Let the desert become our dance floor. Through music, movement, and playful expression, adults and children are invited to shake off the ordinary and follow what feels alive. No choreography. No pressure. Just freedom, joy, and the reminder that your body was made to move.
✦ FEAST ✦
The Enchanted Waffle
3-course Dinning Experience
Gather for a playful, nourishing three-course Thanksgiving feast created by The Enchanted Waffle & Elixirs. Every course is designed to be savored, with thoughtfully crafted elixirs adding another layer of magic to the table. No planning, cooking, hosting, or cleaning just beautiful food, shared stories, and the freedom to be fully present.
✦ COMMUNITY ✦
Leave with people who feel like part of the story.
Arrive solo, with your partner, with friends, or with your children. Around shared meals, desert adventures, sound, service, and stories, strangers become a constellation. This is a space where every kind of family belongs including the family you were born into and the one you choose along the way.
You just show up. We take care of the rest.
The deepest luxury of this retreat isn't that everything is fancy. It's that you don't have to carry the experience.

Through breathwork, sound, nature, adventure, reflection, and community, Ashleigh creates spaces where people can step outside their normal routines and remember who they are beneath the noise.
For We Are the Living Adventure, Ashleigh holds the overall vision and experience arc, weaving the practical details and the deeper emotional journey into one unforgettable Thanksgiving beneath the stars.

Tiffany brings warmth, play, honesty, and a deeply relational presence to We Are the Living Adventure. As both a guide and a mother sharing the experience alongside her son, Fox, she brings a lived understanding of what it means to choose connection, curiosity, and adventure as a way of life.
She helps create a retreat where adults can soften, families can meet one another differently, and every participant is invited to follow what makes them feel more awake, connected, and alive.
Fox Fede
Kid Apprentice & Cosmic Adventure Advisor
Fox Fede is the official Kid Apprentice and Cosmic Adventure Advisor for We Are the Living Adventure.
Curious, imaginative, honest, and always ready to explore, Fox helps ensure the retreat is created with kids, not simply for them. He contributes ideas, offers feedback, tests activities, and reminds the grown-ups when something needs more play, more freedom, or a little more adventure.
Fox will participate alongside his mother, Tiffany, while stepping into age-appropriate opportunities to help welcome younger adventurers, share his perspective, and add his own creativity to the experience.
He is here to remind all of us that wonder is not something we have to grow out of, and that sometimes the wisest voice in the room is the one willing to ask the question no adult thought to ask.

✦ Day 3

✦ Day 4
Carry It Home
Share a final breakfast, reflect on what came alive, close the circle, and leave with more space inside you than what you arrived with.
Return with a quieter nervous system, a story in your bones, and proof that your life is not happening somewhere else.
It is here. You are inside it.
Your all-inclusive Thanksgiving adventure.
Because lodging is held across a collection of unique pods, spaces are limited and rooming configurations matter. Please choose the option that best fits your needs.

✦ Solo Traveler
One Adult, Solo
Shared Room
Room configurations vary across the property — some domes sleep 2, some sleep 3, one building sleeps 5 — so your exact room depends on the group as it fills, but you'll always have your own bed and will have the opportunity to meet your roomates before you arrive.
✦ Duo Travelers
Two Adults Sharing a Bed
in Shared Room
At Space Cowboys, the futuristic pods, private terraces, fire pits, and wide-open desert create a front-row seat to the night. As darkness settles, we slow down enough to actually look up.
Under the stars, we remember: we are tiny, we are miraculous, and we are here now.
✦ Family or Private Traveler
Family Dome — Up to 6
People, Kids Included
The entire dome to yourselves, room for up to six. This is the tier for the solo traveler who wants the privacy of their own space or for families who want their own private landing spot after a full day of adventure with enough space to spread out, wind down, and still be steps from the fire pit and the stars.
Why room sizes vary: Space Cowboys is a real, one-of-a-kind property — no two domes are identical. Some sleep 2, some sleep 3, and one building sleeps 5. Rather than pricing every configuration separately, we've built three simple ticket types based on what you need. Your exact room is confirmed once the group is set.

F A Q
Questions We Hear Often
Do I have to celebrate Thanksgiving?
Not at all. This gathering is for anyone who wants a meaningful, nourishing holiday weekend — whether you love Thanksgiving, the traditional holiday doesn't fit you, or you simply want a beautiful place to be.
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely. You do not need to bring anyone to belong here. The retreat is intentionally designed so solo adults can enter the community without feeling like an extra inside someone else's family experience.
Can I bring my child or my whole family?
Yes. If sharing the weekend with your children or family is part of the adventure, bring them. Each child must attend with their own responsible adult, and age guidance will be included before registration opens.
What does all-inclusive mean?
Once you arrive, your lodging, retreat meals and snacks, facilitated experiences, sound immersion, Saturday three-course dinner, and scheduled Big Bend group adventure are included. Transportation to and from Terlingua is not included unless specifically added later.
What are the accommodations like?
Space Cowboys offers a collection of futuristic desert pods with panoramic windows, comfortable beds, climate control, private terraces, and fire pits. Some accommodations use nearby bathhouses, while the flagship Space Fort includes an indoor bathroom and full kitchen. Exact rooming details are shared before booking.
Will I have a private pod?
Private and shared lodging options depend on final capacity and the pod configuration. The registration page will clearly state what each investment includes before you reserve.
What will the weather be like?
Late November is generally a beautiful time to explore the Big Bend region, but desert temperatures can shift dramatically between day and night. Come prepared for sun, wind, cool evenings, and possible cold weather. A complete packing guide will be provided.
How physically demanding is the Big Bend adventure?
The group experience will be selected around actual weather, park conditions, and participant needs. You will receive the anticipated activity level before arrival, and we'll build in choice whenever possible.
Can I bring my pet?
Space Cowboys is pet-friendly. Retreat pet attendance must be approved in advance because lodging, group dynamics, park plans, and venue pet fees all need to be considered.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
We'll collect dietary information during registration and work to accommodate common needs wherever reasonably possible. Severe allergies and highly specific needs should be discussed with us before booking.
Is this a spiritual or religious retreat?
The experience is reflective, nature-connected, and transformational, but it is not tied to a specific religion. You're welcome to arrive with your own beliefs and relationship to meaning.
